Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons red, white, and pink sprinkles (divided)
- 1/2 cup Valentine’s M&M’s
- 2 bags Reese’s peanut butter hearts (chocolate & white chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 11×17-inch baking sheet with nonstick spray.
- Make the dough: Beat the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and 5 tablespoons of sprinkles. Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Spread the dough: Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking sheet.
- Decorate and bake: Press Reese’s hearts and M&M’s into the dough, creating a grid pattern. Bake for 11-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Add finishing touches: Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack. Sprinkle the tops of the melted hearts with remaining sprinkles.
- Cool and serve: Let the cookie bars cool completely before slicing into 32 squares.
