There’s something magical about warm, homemade bread pudding. It takes me back to my grandmother’s kitchen, where the scent of cinnamon and vanilla filled the air. She always said the best recipes aren’t just about ingredients—they’re about love and tradition. This classic bread pudding is rich, buttery, and soaked in a deliciously spiced custard. Perfect for dessert, breakfast, or a cozy brunch! Give it a try and bring a little warmth to your home. ❤️


Ingredients

✅ 1 long loaf of French Bread
✅ ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter
✅ 1 cup raisins
✅ 4 cups milk
✅ 4 large eggs
✅ 2 cups granulated sugar
✅ 2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
✅ ½ cup dark rum or whisky (or substitute with milk)

Glaze:
✅ ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted and cooled
✅ 2 cups powdered sugar


Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
2️⃣ Tear or cut French bread into bite-sized pieces.
3️⃣ Melt butter in a skillet and toast the bread until golden brown. Transfer to the casserole dish and sprinkle raisins on top.
4️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and rum. Pour over the bread and raisins.
5️⃣ Bake for 1 hour, checking at 40 minutes. It’s done when golden brown and slightly pulling from the edges.
6️⃣ For the glaze, mix melted butter and powdered sugar, then drizzle over warm bread pudding.
7️⃣ Serve warm or at room temperature & enjoy! 😋
