Savory Onion Beef Fried Rice

Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice (preferably cold, day-old rice works best)

1/2 lb ground beef or thinly sliced beef strips

1/2 red onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup diced carrots

1/2 cup chopped green onions or spinach

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

1 tbsp sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Chili flakes (optional, for heat)


Instructions

In a skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.

Add ground beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant and slightly caramelized.

Add carrots and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

Toss in cooked rice and stir well to combine.

Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Return the beef to the pan and stir in green onions or spinach.

Cook for another 2–3 minutes, then serve hot and enjoy!
