Ingredients
- 1 small head of cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg (optional, for binding)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare the cabbage: Slice the cabbage into thick rounds (about ½-inch thick). Brush both sides with olive oil and place on the baking sheet.
3️⃣ Make the burger mixture: In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using). Mix well.
4️⃣ Assemble the burgers: Take a handful of the meat mixture and press it onto each cabbage slice, shaping it into a patty.
5️⃣ Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven and sprinkle cheese on top of each burger.
6️⃣ Broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
7️⃣ Serve & enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley or serve with a side of sour cream, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce!
