Ingredients
✔ 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
✔ 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
✔ 1 tbsp sesame oil
✔ 3 cloves garlic, minced
✔ 1 tsp ginger, minced
✔ 2 green onions, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
✔ Salt & pepper to taste
✔ 2 cups cooked rice (jasmine, basmati, or brown)
Optional Toppings & Add-ins:
🥒 Veggies: Bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, or spinach
🍳 Egg: A fried egg on top for richness
🌶 Garnish: Sesame seeds, kimchi, pickled veggies
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Rice
Stove: Rinse 1 cup rice, cook with 2 cups water, simmer 15 min, then fluff.
Rice Cooker: Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
Instant Pot: Pressure cook 3 min, natural release.
2️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef
🔥 Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef, breaking it apart, until browned (5-7 min).
🧄 Add garlic & ginger: Stir and cook 1-2 more minutes until fragrant.
🥢 Season: Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and season with salt & pepper. Simmer for a couple of minutes to blend flavors.
3️⃣ Assemble the Bowl
🍚 Start with rice as your base.
🥩 Top with seasoned beef.
🥦 Add veggies (steamed broccoli, bell peppers, etc.).
