Ingredients

✔️ 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
✔️ 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
✔️ 1 tbsp sesame oil
✔️ 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
✔️ 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
✔️ 2 green onions, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
✔️ Salt & black pepper, to taste
✔️ 2 cups cooked jasmine, basmati, or brown rice 🍚

Optional Toppings & Add-Ons:

🌶 Vegetables: Sliced bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, or spinach
🍳 Egg: A fried egg on top for added richness
🥒 Extras: Sesame seeds, sliced cucumber, kimchi, or pickled veggies

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Rice:

Stove: Rinse 1 cup rice under cold water until clear. Cook with 2 cups water on low for 15 minutes, then fluff.
Rice Cooker: Rinse rice, add water, and cook per instructions.
Instant Pot: Rinse rice, add water, cook on high pressure for 3 minutes, then natural release.

2️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef:

🔸 Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart.
🔸 Add flavor: Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
🔸 Season it up: Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions, then let it simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

3️⃣ Assemble the Bowl:

🔹 Start with rice: Spoon a generous portion into your bowl.
🔹 Layer the beef: Add the savory ground beef on top.
🔹 Add veggies & toppings: Steam some broccoli, add bell peppers, or top with kimchi & a fried egg.
🔹 Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds & green onions.

Notes

🔥 Want extra heat? Add gochujang (Korean chili paste) or a drizzle of sriracha!
🔥 Low-carb swap? Serve over cauliflower rice or in lettuce wraps.
🔥 Extra umami? Add a splash of fish sauce or honey for a sweet-savory balance.
