Instructions

  1. Wash and Prep Strawberries:
    Rinse strawberries under cold water and pat dry. Remove the green stems.
  2. Cut into Hearts:
    • Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise.
    • Use a paring knife to carve a small “V” at the top where the stem was.
    • Trim the bottom point for a sharper heart shape if needed.
  3. Optional Chocolate Dipping:
    • Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    • Insert a skewer or toothpick into the bottom of the heart for easy handling.
    • Dip the strawberries halfway into the chocolate and place them on parchment paper to set.
    • Decorate with sprinkles or crushed nuts before the chocolate hardens, if desired.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:
    Arrange the strawberry hearts on a plate, use them as dessert garnishes, or package them in a gift box for Valentine’s Day.
