Homemade Cold Brew Coffee ☕❄️

  • Author: therecipemingle

Description

There’s nothing better than a smooth, refreshing glass of cold brew on a warm day—or really, any day! Making your own cold brew at home is so easy, and it tastes even better than what you’d get at a coffee shop. Plus, you can customize it just the way you like it! Whether you enjoy it black, with a splash of cream, or even warmed up for a mellow hot coffee, this recipe is a must-try. Give it a go and enjoy barista-level coffee at home!

Ingredients

✅ ¾ cup coarse ground coffee (or 2 oz by weight)
✅ 3 cups cold water

Instructions

1️⃣ Add the coffee grounds and cold water to a quart-size mason jar or similar container. Stir or shake gently.
2️⃣ Let the mixture steep for 12-18 hours at room temperature or in the fridge.
3️⃣ Place a fine mesh strainer over a measuring cup and line it with cheesecloth or a nut milk bag.
4️⃣ Pour the coffee through the strainer and let it fully drain.
5️⃣ Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
6️⃣ To serve, dilute the concentrate with water (1:1 ratio recommended) and add milk or sweetener as desired.

Notes

✔️ Use filtered water for the best flavor.
✔️ Try it with decaf coffee or a mix of regular and decaf.
✔️ Compost your coffee grounds instead of tossing them in the sink!
