Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.)
- ¼ cup filtered water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
- 2–3 tbsp chia seeds
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
1️⃣ In a saucepan, combine berries, water, and maple syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mash the berries as they soften.
2️⃣ Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds. Let sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken.
3️⃣ Add lemon juice, mix well, and transfer to a glass jar. Store in the fridge for 7-14 days.
