Ingredients
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
3 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping)
2 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
8 slices soft white bread, crusts removed
3 tbsp butter (for pan)
Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
Melt 3 tbsp butter in the microwave, then stir in 3 tbsp granulated sugar, 2 tbsp brown sugar, and 1 tbsp cinnamon until smooth.
In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk. In another bowl, mix 2 tbsp sugar with 2 tsp cinnamon.
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin. Spread with butter-cinnamon mixture and roll tightly.
Heat butter in a non-stick pan over medium. Dip each roll in egg mix, then cook 1–2 mins per side until golden.
Roll in cinnamon-sugar mix and serve warm with maple syrup.
