1 loaf French bread or Texas toast

8 eggs

2 cups half and half

½ cup milk

3 tbsp sugar

1½ tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp salt
Cinnamon Crunch Topping:

1½ sticks butter, softened

1 cup light brown sugar
-
1 tbsp light corn syrup (optional)

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp nutmeg
Instructions

Butter a 9×13″ baking dish. Slice bread and layer it in rows.

Whisk eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour over the bread, making sure every slice is coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, flip each slice for even coating.

Mix topping ingredients and spread over the bread like frosting.

Bake uncovered at 350°F for 35–40 mins until golden and puffed.
