Ingredients
For the Sliders:
✔ 1 package King’s Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls
✔ ¼ cup mayonnaise
✔ 1 tbsp cream-style horseradish
✔ ½ lb provolone or Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
✔ ½ lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
✔ ½ cup caramelized onions
✔ 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
✔ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
✔ ½ tsp onion powder
✔ ¼ tsp garlic powder
✔ ½ tbsp chopped fresh parsley, plus extra for garnish
For the Jus:
✔ 2 cups beef broth or stock
✔ 2 tbsp unsalted butter
✔ 1 large garlic clove, minced
✔ 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour (optional, for thicker jus)
✔ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
✔ 1-2 tsp Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base (optional, for extra flavor)
✔ 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ¼ tsp dried)
✔ Kosher salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the Rolls:
- Slice rolls horizontally into two slabs (tops and bottoms).
- Place on a baking sheet and broil on high for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted. (Watch carefully—they burn fast!)
2️⃣ Assemble the Sliders:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Place bottom half of rolls in the dish, toasted side up.
- In a small bowl, mix mayo & horseradish, then spread half over the rolls.
- Layer half of the cheese, all of the roast beef, caramelized onions, and remaining cheese.
- Spread the rest of the horseradish mayo on the top half of the rolls, then place them over the cheese.
3️⃣ Buttery Topping:
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley.
- Brush over the tops and sides of the sliders, letting it drip down.
4️⃣ Bake to Perfection:
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Remove foil and bake 5-8 more minutes, until tops are golden and crisp.
5️⃣ Make the Jus (While Sliders Bake):
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes (skip this step for a thinner jus).
- Gradually whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with beef base, salt, and pepper as needed.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and keep warm.
Notes
Cut sliders apart, garnish with parsley, and serve with warm jus for dipping!
