Easy No-Fail Homemade Bread

Ingredients

🧂 Ingredients:
• 2 cups warm water
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1.5 tbsp yeast
• 1.5 tsp salt
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 5.5 cups all-purpose flour


Instructions

  • Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast and let it proof until foamy.

  • Stir in the oil.

  • In another bowl, mix flour and salt.

  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  • Knead the dough for 3–5 minutes.

  • Place dough in a greased bowl, turn to coat, and let rise for 1 hour.

  • Punch down the dough, shape into loaves, and place in greased pans.

  • Let rise 30–40 minutes.

  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

  • Brush tops with butter while warm
