For the Brownies:
- 5 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
- 2 oz unsalted butter
- 7 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temp)
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅛ tsp baking powder
- ⅛ tsp salt
For the Frosting & Decoration:
- 2 ½ tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ¾ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk (room temp)
- 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar (sifted)
- Chocolate eggs for topping
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a small baking pan.
- Melt 2.5 oz chocolate with butter.
- Whisk eggs & sugar for 2 minutes, then mix in vanilla.
- Combine with melted chocolate, then fold in flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt & remaining chocolate chunks.
- Bake for 21-24 min until crackly on top. Cool completely.
2️⃣ Make the Frosting:
- Melt butter, whisk in cocoa powder until smooth.
- Add salt, vanilla & milk, then whisk in powdered sugar.
- Spread over brownies while warm for a smooth finish.
3️⃣ Decorate & Serve:
- Top with chocolate eggs, press gently, and let set.
- Cut into 10 squares and enjoy!
