Ingredients
✅ 1-2 lbs chicken tenders (or 2 large chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips)
✅ 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
✅ ¾ tsp salt
✅ ½ tsp black pepper
✅ 1 egg, beaten with 2 tbsp water
✅ Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
1️⃣ Heat about 2 inches of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
2️⃣ In one bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper. In another, beat the egg with water.
3️⃣ Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg, then back in flour for extra crispiness. Let rest for 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Check oil temperature (around 365-375°F). If a bit of flour sizzles immediately, it’s ready.
5️⃣ Fry in batches, about 8-10 minutes per side, until golden brown.
6️⃣ Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with extra salt if needed.
