Ingredients
✅ 3 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
✅ ½ cup whole milk
✅ ½ cup salted butter
✅ 8 garlic cloves, minced
✅ 1 tsp salt
✅ ½ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
1️⃣ Wash and scrub the potatoes, then chop them into small chunks.
2️⃣ Place chopped potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook until potatoes are fork-tender.
3️⃣ While the potatoes cook, heat milk, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over low heat (do not boil) for 3-4 minutes to infuse the garlic flavor.
4️⃣ Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
5️⃣ Pour in the garlic milk mixture and mash using a hand masher or electric mixer. Leave some small chunks for extra texture if desired!
