Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders

Juicy, perfectly grilled steak, sweet caramelized onions, and melty havarti cheese are tucked inside buttery, golden slider buns—all smothered in zesty, garlicky Cowboy Butter. 🤠🔥 These steak sliders are packed with bold flavors and make the perfect appetizer or main course for your next BBQ, game day, or weekend feast! Ingredients

🥩 For the Sliders:
✔️ 1 ½ lbs boneless steak (ribeye, filet, or sirloin)
✔️ Neutral oil (for cooking)
✔️ Kosher salt & black pepper (to taste)
✔️ 3 sweet onions, thinly sliced
✔️ 9 slider buns
✔️ ¾ lb sliced Havarti cheese

🧈 For the Cowboy Butter:
✔️ 1 stick unsalted butter (room temp)
✔️ 4 garlic cloves, minced
✔️ ½ lemon, zested & juiced
✔️ 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
✔️ 1 tsp paprika
✔️ ½ tsp cayenne pepper
✔️ ½ tsp dried thyme
✔️ 1 tsp red pepper flakes
✔️ 1 tbsp chives, minced
✔️ 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
✔️ Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Steaks – Trim excess fat, rub with oil, and season generously with salt & pepper. Wrap and refrigerate for a few hours for deep flavor.

2️⃣ Make the Cowboy Butter – Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in lemon juice, garlic, Dijon, and seasonings. Remove from heat, then add chives & parsley. Set aside.

3️⃣ Grill the Steak – Preheat grill to medium-high with an indirect heat zone. Grill steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, brushing with Cowboy Butter. Move to indirect heat and cook to desired doneness. Rest for 10 minutes, then slice.

4️⃣ Caramelize the Onions – Place a cast-iron skillet on the grill. Melt butter, then cook onions for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and caramelized.

5️⃣ Assemble the Sliders – Preheat oven to broil. Brush inside of slider buns with Cowboy Butter. Add Havarti cheese to both sides, then top bottom buns with caramelized onions and sliced steak.

6️⃣ Melt & Serve – Broil sliders for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melty. Add top buns, slice, and enjoy!
