  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, cherry pie filling, and almond extract. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the cake mixture.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set and the edges are bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
