Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake

- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, cherry pie filling, and almond extract. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the cake mixture.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set and the edges are bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
