22 Irresistible Valentine’s Day Cookies for Sweet, Romantic Moments
- 1 (16 oz) bag Funfetti Sugar Cookie Mix
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (½ of an 8-oz package)
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup pink or white sanding sugar or nonpareils
- 18 Hershey’s Strawberry Ice Cream Cone Kisses
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven & Prep:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to beat together the cookie mix, softened cream cheese, and egg until a soft dough forms.
- Prepare Sugar Coating:
- Place pink or white sanding sugar (or nonpareils) in a shallow bowl.
- Shape Cookies:
- Using a 1½ tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop balls of dough and roll them gently in the sugar or nonpareils until coated. Then, shape into smooth balls.
- Tip: If the dough is too sticky to handle, chill it in the refrigerator or freezer for 30-60 minutes for easier rolling.
- Bake Cookies:
- Place cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1½ inches apart.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Add Strawberry Kisses:
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 3-5 minutes, then gently press an unwrapped Hershey’s Strawberry Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Cool & Serve:
- Transfer cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely or enjoy them warm with the melted chocolate center.
